Our mission

We didn’t start with a gap in the market. We started with a loss.

Every studio says it builds things that matter. Ours exists because, once, the thing that mattered didn’t exist when we needed it.

Where it began

A candle, for someone we couldn’t keep.

When our founder Jack lost his dad, he went looking for a way to remember them that felt genuine, digital and intimate. What he found was a candle GIF and a mailing list.

So he built the thing that should have existed: The Bridge of Lights, a calm, permanent place to light a candle for someone you love. What began as a personal answer to grief is now trusted by hundreds of families, with partnerships across hospices and funeral services.

That product built this company. Not the other way round.

And it set a bar. Every platform we’ve built since, and every client project we take on, gets measured against the care we’d want shown to someone lighting a candle on a hard day.

The Bridge of Lights Homepage
We believe technology should feel like it was built by people who actually care, not a process that doesn't.

Built for good

The standard the Bridge set. Everything else has to clear it.

Useful to real people

If a platform doesn’t make someone’s day genuinely better, we don’t ship it. Yes, we’ve shelved ideas over this.

Careful by default

We build for people on their worst days as well as their best. That care is a feature, not a mood.

Owned, not rented

We build and run our own platforms. When you own the 2am problems, you build differently at 2pm.

The mission now

Own more of what we build. Share more of what we learn.

The platform family keeps growing. The Bridge of Lights leads it, with Pitch, Luminary, Grovel.io and Mirror ADdiction alongside: each one built to solve one human-sized problem properly, and each one ours to run, improve and answer for.

Our Plymouth-based agency arm carries the same standard into client work, from national retailers to Sunday-league clubs. Whoever’s name is on the brief, the bar doesn’t move.

Backed properly

Proudly a King’s Trust Supported Business.

The King’s Trust backed us early, and that support is one reason we can build products we believe in rather than only ever building to someone else’s brief. We’re proud of the badge, and we take it as a standard to live up to.

That’s the why. Want the how?
